The Best Money Saver This Christmas
Okay, I’m just going to say it, I’m broke. I mean, I just got back from Europe, so it's to be expected. And this time of year is really slow for work. I’ve got to wait till January for a writing contract to fuel my bank account (that’s freelancing for you). But as it happens, this time of year is all about catching up with friends, family and loved ones – and showing your appreciation by treating them to a little heartfelt gift.
I’ve struggled with the idea of not giving out presents this year. So, as you can imagine, I've given this a lot of thought. And when it was beginning to look like I had no other choice – boom, insert lightbulb above my head – I figured it out. I’ve found the perfect gift to give, for those with an empty bank account this Christmas – baked treats!
Here's a list of my favourite festive recipes to inspire you to get baking!
Gingerbread Men – you could even individually decorate them for each person!
Gingerbread Cupcakes with Cinnamon Frosting – for the ultimate Christmas treat.
Chocolate Crackle Cookies – these look incredible, but are oh so easy to make.
Snowy Chocolate Pinecones – dress to impress, you know what I mean.
Festive Shortbread Cookies – with three ingredients, you can't go wrong.
