3 travel tips for an enjoyable stay in Bali, Indonesia
While I'm away in China, I'll be taking an unintentional hiatus from blogging, social media and work thanks to China's censorship laws. During my time away you'll be hearing from some of my good friends in the writing world. Welcoming Katie.
To celebrate Chalsie's love of travel, I'll be sharing one of my own recent adventures with you, to Bali, Indonesia!
My sister and I ended 2014 on a sunny, relaxed and indulgent note with a girls trip to the beautiful island of Bali. With something to suit lots of different holiday ideals from the party goer, to person in serious need of peace and relaxation, Bali really does have something for anyone who loves sun, warmth and cheap beers.
So, without further adieu, here are my 3 travel tips for an enjoyable stay in Bali, Indonesia.
1. Stay local and walk!
Do some research on what suburbs have the types of things that you're looking forward to try on your holiday, and stay close. Walking from place to place is where you will stumble across the most amazing things! Cabs are very cheap so there's no harm in straying from your local area, but you'll find the hidden gems on foot.
2. Day trips are a must
Make sure you do a couple of day trips out to different areas. In my experience, Bali is addictive so you will probably go back. You might find different places and vibes for your next trip.
3. Relax at beach clubs, bars and restaurants
My second favourite thing about Bali (after the people and their relax vibes) is the beaches! Whilst there are nightclubs and bars, trendy 'beach' clubs and more malls are popping up every day. Nothing beats lazing on the beach whilst you work up the energy to take a surfing lesson and rewarding yourself with a couple of cold beers on the sand.
Most of all, relax, enjoy your trip and have a Bintang for me!
