Photo Diary: My Journey Through the Canadian Rockies
There's no one way to sum up the Canadian Rockies. The sheer magnitude of these beasts are unlike anything I've come across before. I mean, I've driven across the mountain ranges of New Zealand, through the mossy lava fields of Iceland and above the clouds on top of the Japanese Alps before. But nothing could prepare me for the size of the Canadian Rockies. Nothing.
Driving in-between these mountains transported me into another world. A world where gentle giants walk amongst us, in form of mountain tops, ancient glaciers, frozen waterfalls and vast landscapes. A world full of magic and majestic beings. Driving around the Canadian Rockies was like my own little fairy tale.
A fairy tale full of magical white dust that falls from the sky, blanketing everything that sits still; of mystical creatures that roam the wilderness; of deep, dark forests which neither begin, nor end; of giant waterways frozen in time; of magnificent peeks that watch over you and keep you safe.
Have you explored the Canadian Rockies? What kind of impact did they have on you?
